Legal Limits
Considered by many to be the most exciting shallow-water gamefish in the world, snook are an ideal target for light-tackle sportfisherman of all disciplines.

Although this versatile species can also be found in the sub-tropical coastal waters of Costa Rica and Africa, nowhere is the snook more at home than in southwest Florida.

This highly-evolved predator is perfectly suited to take full advantage of the seemingly endless supply of natural cover created by the twisting waterways and mangrove islands of the unique estuarine systems of Pine Island Sound, Estero Bay and the Everglades.

Explosive strikes, reel screaming runs and a knack for frustrating even the most seasoned angler are the hallmarks of this often elusive gamefish.

Snook can be caught using a variety of basic and advanced fishing techniques and methods that are usually determined by a number of factors including season, tide, time of day and a myriad of other subtleties that affect fish behavior and activity.

Gulf Coast Guide Services specializes in light-tackle spin and plug fishing, sightfishing and fly fishing for snook.
